Biography:
I graduated from Trinity College in Dublin and underwent basic medical training followed by specialist training in Endocrinology and Diabetes in Dublin. I subsequently completed research and clinical fellowship posts at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham and at St. Bartholomew’s hospital in London before returning to Dublin. My special areas of clinical and research interests include pituitary disease, benign and malignant thyroid disorders, calcium disorders and General Endocrinology. I have more than 100 peer reviewed publications on endocrine topics. I am a recipient of several national and international research and publication awards. I am a previous Senior Editor of the Endocrine Journal BMC Endocrine Disorders.
