Biography:
Professor Declan de Freitas is a Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician in the Beaumont Hospital Kidney Centre and the National Kidney Transplant Unit. He graduated from RCSI and did his medical training between Dublin and Manchester. He completed his PhD with the University of Manchester and did his post-doctoral fellowship at the ATAGC in Edmonton, Canada, before returning to Manchester as a Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician and later Beaumont Hospital.
