Biograpahy:

I am a consultant Ear, Nose and Throat surgeon with subspeciality interest in Otology, jointly appointed in 2021 between the hospitals of Beaumont and Our Lady and Lourdes Drogheda.

I graduated in 2003 from the University of the Free State Medical School in Bloemfontein, South Africa and started my Ear Nose and Throat clinical training in Ireland in 2007 after 4 years of clinical work in both South Africa and Bermuda. I completed the Irish Otolaryngology Higher Speciality Training Program in 2018 and was appointed Otolaryngology lecturer for the RCSI and Beaumont Hospital in 2019. During 2019/2020 I completed fellowship training in Otology and Implant Otology at Queens Medical Centre, Nottingham, United Kingdom.

Since my appointment as consultant in 2021 I have focused on expanding the Otolaryngology services in Our Lady of Lourdes, Drogheda by creating specialised Otology (Ear) clinics & Operating procedures, Audiology services and Vestibular/Balance pathways.

I find helping patients with their hearing or ear disease and even wax related issues very satisfying and enjoy the problem-solving required in diagnosing vertigo and balance disorders.
